Most couples experience ups and downs, conflicts and misunderstandings. Often couples are able to work through these differences positively and move on. But sometimes conflicts remain unresolved and frustration, anger and resentment grow. This is when couple counselling can be helpful.
Sometimes it is difficult to see what is happening in your relationship. Andrea works with individuals and couples to identify, understand and change problem areas in a supportive and neutral environment. Difficulties are looked at within the context of present and past relationships and not viewed as being located within the individual. Through exploration and insights into the patterns developed in the relationship, clients are able to create new and healthier avenues for expressing themselves and strengthening their connection with others.
Relationship counselling will assist with the development of insights, knowledge, skills and approaches that allow you to change these unhealthy patterns of behaviour. It will also assist you to respond more productively to relationship difficulties in the future, creating healthier and more satisfying partnerships.
